Black-cherry colour with purple hues in the rim. High aromatic intensity, with aromas of stewed red berry fruit, hints of toasted chocolate, black pepper and smoked meats. The attack is fresh and fruity, with the tannin from the oak present without being too overbearing. Moderate acidity with a long, pleasant finish in which the oak can be more clearly noticed.

Rather warm and spirity for a Penfolds red. Deep red with purple hues. this vibrant, juicy and sweet-fruited shiraz of medium to full weight has a meaty and unusually floral aroma of mulberries, blackberries and cassis backed by nuances of black and white pepper. Supported by a fine, dusty chassis and cedar/mocha/chocolate oak, it's long, complete and dripping with concentrated flavour.

Nice deep crimson colour with tile-red highlights. Charming nose with morello cherry, dried fruits (almonds) and leather. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-balanced, with volume, integrated tannins and a long finish accompanied by liquorice notes.
